ULLA summer school 2015 in Paris

The ULLA summer school 2015 was held near Paris (Île-de-France) from 4 to 11 July and organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Paris Sud.

203 PhD students from the different ULLA institutions participated in the summer school that comprised a symposium day on Saturday 4 July, and a series of courses and poster sessions from Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July.

The academic program covered a broad spectrum of research areas in pharmaceutical sciences. It included 3 conferences, up to 50 course modules of 5.5 hours each, given by researchers from the ULLA institutions. Every PhD student presented his/her work on a poster that was displayed during the duration of the summer school. The PhD students had the opportunity to meet representatives from the pharma industry on 9 July.

During the summer school, a group of 16 students, pre-selected by their universities, were asked to suggest and discuss ideas that will contribute to  the preparation of an ULLA workshop in 2016. The students came up with propositions about the framework and possible topics.

The summer school benefited from fine hot weather and its participants enjoyed a dense week of academic and scientific sessions as well as social activities aimed at promoting networking.
