Symposia and lectures in 2012:

The Faculty of Pharmacy of Uppsala University arranged an international 2-day symposium on June 14 – 15, 2012: 'News at organic pharmaceutical chemistry: A symposium dedicated to Professor Anders Hallberg' to highlight professor Anders Hallberg, president of Uppsala University 2006 – 2011, and his work within organic and medicinal chemistry.

Symposia and lectures in 2011:

The symposium 'Proteins, peptides and peptidomimetics: Applications in drug discovery and drug development':

A symposium with a number of prominent international speakers took place between February 7 and 8, 2011, in Uppsala, Sweden. The symposium was organized by Uppsala University, Faculty of Pharmacy in collaboration with the Swedish Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS) and European University Consortium for Pharmaceutical Research (ULLA). The symposium was designed to fill a gap in the field of pharmaceutical research, providing a forum where participants with an interest in drug research and with a background in either proteins, peptides or small molecules, could meet and discuss new findings, methodologies and strategies. Invited top speakers provided details on the scientific state of the art and provide directions for future work.
