Grants for MSc students

Who is eligible?

ULLA grants are available for MSc students from ULLA member institutes who have been accepted as exchange student at another member institute, either for a research project (MSc project grant) or to follow courses (MSc course grant). Students from non-member institutes are not eligible. Likewise, stays at non-member institutes will not be supported. A list of ULLA member institutes can be found here. Be aware that member institutes are faculties/schools, not universities as such!

Please note that only students who have passed (the equivalent of) a three year BSc degree are eligible for support. Students enrolled at the PharmaSchool at the University of Copenhagen can apply. Also MPharm students from the UCL School of Pharmacy can apply for grants supporting research projects at other ULLA member institutes in their final year (year 4).

If you previously received an ULLA grant, you cannot apply for a new one.

What is supported?

ULLA grants for MSc students may support exchange stays of minimum 3 and maximum 6 months. The maximum support amounts to 160 € per month. Transportation costs are not refunded.

When to apply?

You can apply for an ULLA grant at any time, but always at least 1 month prior to the start of your exchange period.

How to apply?

Prior to the submission of an ULLA grant application, you should decide at which ULLA member institute you wish to study and which activities (research project or courses) you wish to undertake. You should contact the international office at your home university to get information about the application procedure at the host university and about Erasmus mobility grants. Finally, you should send an application to the host university according their procedure.

Once you have been accepted as exchange student at the host university, you can apply for an ULLA grant according to the following guidelines:

  3. e-mail the completed application form together with the supporting documents to grants@ullapharmsci.org.

  • A written report should be e-mailed to grants@ullapharmsci.org within 2 months after completion of your stay. Please use this template.
  • The financial support from the ULLA Consortium should be acknowledged in all scientific publications resulting from the visit.
