Every other year, one of the ULLA member institutions organizes a summer school for PhD students from the 10 partners. These ULLA Summer Schools consist of a symposium on the opening day followed by a 5-day academic course program that covers a broad range of research areas in pharmaceutical sciences. Typically, up to 50 courses, given by lecturers from the ULLA partners, are offered. Participating PhD students, selected by their home institution, follow their preferred courses and present their own research during poster sessions. In addition to the academic program, the ULLA Summer Schools are also known for their strong social activities. Overall, the ULLA Summer Schools provide a unique opportunity for PhD students to build an international network in pharmaceutical sciences.
